What’s for dinner? That’s a question that many people find themselves asking every night. Between work, kids, spouses, and making time for one’s self, dinner may be the last thing on our mind. There are, however, a multitude of dinner recipes that can be made quickly, easily, and very cheaply. These recipes are ideal for people of all types, whether single or married with children, busy or not busy, a talented chef or a novice beginner.
Dinner recipes can be found in a great deal of places. Many can be found online by either using a search engine (one just types in the recipe they are looking for) or visiting a website dedicated to showing recipes (if one is unsure what they are looking for).
There are also plenty of cook books available offering tons of different recipes. At this point there are cook books full of recipes for just about every ethnicity, at every cooking level, and for every taste. In fact, there is pretty much a cook book out there for every single person. Beyond just cook books, though, if you happen to come across a dish you like (at a restaurant or through a friend or relative), simply just ask for the recipe. Most people and chefs don’t mind giving them out. And even if they do mind, something similar can probably be found online or in a cook book.
A very simple recipe that almost everybody will love, including picky children, is baked macaroni and cheese. To create this dish all one needs is a twelve-ounce package of macaroni noodles, one egg, two cups of milk, two tablespoons of melted butter, two-and-a-half cups of shredded cheddar cheese, and salt and pepper (if desired). To prepare this dish all that is necessary is to preheat the oven to three hundred and fifty degrees and lightly grease a two-quart baking dish. While the oven is preheating, bring a pot of water to a boil and then add the macaroni. Let the macaroni boil for about five minutes or until it looks half cooked. Whisk the egg and the milk together and then add the butter and the cheese to that mixture. Put the half cooked macaroni in the greased baking dish and pour the cheese and egg mixture over the top of the noodles. Bake the whole dish in the oven for thirty to forty minutes or until the top is golden brown. This is a very simple and cheap dish that is easy to make and appeals to almost anyone.
Another easy dinner recipe, and also a timeless classic, is meatloaf. To make this dish one will need a package of onion soup mix (the dry kind), two pounds of lean ground beef, one large egg, two-thirds of a cup of milk, three tablespoons of ketchup, three tablespoons of brown sugar, and one tablespoon of yellow mustard. To cook the meatloaf one needs to preheat the oven to three hundred and fifty degrees. While the oven is preheating, mix together the onion soup mix, the ground beef, the egg, and the milk. After that, form the mixture into a loaf shape and set it into a nine-by-thirteen-inch loaf pan. The remaining ingredients should then be combined and brushed onto the top of the loaf. The entire dish should be cooked for about an hour. After the meatloaf is taken out of the oven, it should sit for about ten minutes and then be sliced and served.
If one so desires, the baked macaroni and cheese dish and the meatloaf dish could be served together with a vegetable to create an entire dinner that’s quick and easy. Just add a vegetable, such as steamed broccoli and cauliflower or fresh sweet corn, and an entire meal can be created.
Dinner recipes are very easy to find and most of the time very easy to prepare. Of course, there are complicated and long recipes if that is what one so wishes to make, but as long as one is willing to look and ask, then finding dinner recipes should be a quick and easy process.
